Most materials, including the granite for Miskwaadesi, were sourced from this territory. The flagpole on-site is where an Indigenous flag will be flown year-round, emphasizing the importance of creating urban Indigenous spaces, learning, and reconciliation in our cities.
 

​Miskwaadesi se trouve sur le territoire traditionnel des Nbiising Anishinabeg, qui y vivent depuis des temps immémoriaux. La plupart des matériaux, y compris le granit de Miskwaadesi, proviennent de ce territoire. Un drapeau Autochtone flottera toute l'année sur le mât situé sur le site, soulignant l'importance de créer des espaces urbains autochtones, de favoriser l'apprentissage et la réconciliation dans nos villes.
